(U) Item 1a (1 page, handwritten; B-3) Message H26/TK, dated 30 Apr 70, signed by Mót, addressed to Brother Tan, (possibly Chief of the Military Intelligence Section, Military Staff, VC Military Region 7), informs the addressee that since 15 Apr 70 the author received no information on Lâm and that on the night of 25 Apr 70 the author's unit escaped from an enemy FWMAF/RVNAF encirclement in Long Điền (District). (U) Item 2: (3 pages, handwritten; B-3) Message 74/TK, dated 6 Oct 70, unsigned, addressed to Brother Tân, reads in part as follows: "According to the information collected on 3 Oct 70, RVNAF armor groups were employed to protect their RVNAF movements on Route 22 and the 333rd RVNAF Task Force was stationed in the Tram Vang and Go Dâu (areas). Because of difficulties in supply on Route 5 and Route 6, where the military pressure of friendly VC/NVA forces has increased, the enemy had to use waterways from Kompong Chhnang to Phnom Penh. However, the enemy opened the portion of Route 5 from Kompong Chhnang to Pursat (Battambang). The enemy attempted to oppose friendly forces in southwestern and southeastern Xuan Loc (District); east and west of Route 15, Long Dat (District), Long Khánh (Province); north of War Zone D; and in Binh Tuy (Province)." Also contained in the document are three messages, dated 23 Sep 70, 24 Sep 70, and 1 Oct 70 respectively. The first two, from Nam of B51, to Anh, request that the addressee guide Phuong and Dung, who were assigned to another place (sic). The third one, from Do Tien Dam, to Anh, inquires about the addressee's health. (U) Item 3 (1 page, handwritten; B-3) Message, dated 20 Oct 70, signed by (Do Tien) Dam, addressed to Brother Tan, requests that the addressee help Dung, who stayed at the Ba Hao Stream, to obtain food, and designate personnel to transport food from Unit 200 to the author's location.
