Item 1: Message, "Flash" precedence, dated 12 Sep 68, signed by Chinh of an unspec unit ((poss Elm of Khanh Hoa Prov Unit, SSR, MR 5)), addressed to Ba Son, instructs the latter to confirm the following information; a) the enemy ((FWMAF/RVNAF)) knew that friendly ((VC/NVA)) forces employed agents consisting of RVNAF personnel and disguised civilians in the transportation of supplies from the cities and towns to the friendly base areas; b) the enemy learned that friendly forces were prepared to attack Khanh Hoa Prov Capital and were going to launch the Third General Offensive. Ba Son was also directed to take precautionary measures.
