Circular, number 19/TS, dated 12 June 1969, originated by Cao Lien Minh, Chief of Reconnaissance Sub-Section, Unit 333 ((possibly aka new 10th NVA Regiment)), addressed to the Command Committee, Dll ((possibly 11th Battalion)), provides guidance for a 13-day training course to be conducted for A ((possibly Squad)) Reconnaissance subordinate to D ((possibly Battalions)). The reconnaissance training would also be comprised of sapper training for which one A and one cell would be selected as pilot element. The purpose is to enable these reconnaissance elements to accomplish missions which may be assigned to them by their battalions and ((10th)) Regiment. Training subjects include observation, map reading, use of compasses, and penetration techniques. Training schedule, undated, outlines duration for on the job training on reconnaissance subject. Handwritten note on the document reads : D11. Correlation with other documents captured under the same circumstances indicates that Unit 333 is equated E10 aka 10th NVA Regiment of Southern Sub-Region, MR 5. B10 is composed of D11, D12 and D13 Infantry Battalions and still unclear combat support companies. The first indication of D11 Battalion, E10 was reported in CDEC Log #05-1533-69, Bulletin 22,090. Even though the unit designations employed by E10 are identical to those formerly used by 95A Regiment there are no indications that these are the same unit. There are many indications that personnel of the present E10 were originated from various NVA units to include 325C NVA Division and several NVA units in B3 Front.
