Item 1: (1 page, typewritten; B-3) Order, dated 1 Feb 71, prepared for the signature of Cong Nhan for F78 ((possibly Current Affairs Committee, Diên Ban District Party Committee, VC Quang Da Province, VC Region 5)), signed by Công Nguyen for the Coordination and Operations Committee, Unit 75 ((possibly Dien Ban District Unit, VC Quang Da Special Zone, VC Military Region 5)), addressed to subordinate units and agencies, reveals that in compliance with the directive from Headquarters, Front ((4, aka VC Quang Da Special Zone, VC Military Region 5)) and the resolution adopted by ((Dien Ban)) District Party Committee on 14 Jan 71, the pistols carried by the members of the district's subordinate local force units and agencies were to be turned over to the Command Committee of Unit 75 not later than 10 Feb 71. Pistols were to be assigned only to members of the special ((sic)) units. Only members of the district Party committee, chiefs of district agencies, secretaries of village Party committees, and commanders of combat units at company level were authorized to keep their pistols.
