Due to the critical situation in this area, she could not reach the engr unit. Doc reveals that while staying at Phuoc Thanh, she was homesick and wanted to see her mother as well as her younger brothers and sisters. But she dared not return because she was afraid of U.S and RVNAF ambushes. She wishes Ba Lao would come to Phuoc Thanh and guide her safely.
