News Bulletin 127, dated 17 Jun 72, published by an agency of Southern Trung Bộ ((aka the VC Region 6 Party Committee)), contains a reproduction of a communique concerning a cabinet meeting held by the ((VC)) Provisional Revolutionary Government ((PRG)) of the Republic of SVN on 8 Jun 72. This meeting was conducted in commemoration of the third anniversary of the founding of the PRG, and was presided over by Huynh Tân Phat, President of the PRG. Throughout the meeting, the PRG Cabinet reviewed the politico-military situation in SVN since the beginning of 1972, and especially since the outbreak of the ((current VC/NVA)) offensive. All participants of the meeting unanimously acknowledged the soundness of a decision previously taken ((by the PRG)) in launching the ((current)) nation-wide offensive and uprising drive, which is aimed at defeating the Vietnamization program completely. In the political and diplomatic fields, the participants viewed the ((VC)) seven-point peace proposal as the only solution which adheres to the principles of independence and liberty and insures a great solidarity among all of the ((Vietnamese)) people. They further condemned foolish airstrikes by the US imperialists on populated areas in Hanoi and Haiphong, and the impudent mining of NVN harbors in defiance of both world opinion and basic international laws. All of these criminal acts are regarded by the PRG as the desperate efforts of a dying beast, which reflect a sheer defeat by the US in its Vietnamization policy. The participants finally expressed their total confidence in the unshakable determination of all of the people in SVN to drive all Americans away, topple the Puppet Army and Government, and pave the way for an independent, democratic, peaceful, and neutral SVN.
