Decision, dated 20 Dec 66, to be signed by the Political Officer of Can Tho Province Unit Headquarters, purges Le Trung Tinh from the Party and releases him from the VC Army. Le Trung Tinh was disciplined for having ill-treated a guerrilla who had laid a grenade trap which killed one of Tinh's reconnaissance personnel due to the latter's mistakes. Tinh was formerly assigned as leader of B1 Platoon of Phung Hiep District Local Unit. The demotion decision was based upon recommendations from Phung Hiep District Unit.
