Message, classified Tuyět MAT Secret signed illegibly, undated, from E 325th (C) NVA Div, addressed to K7 7th Bn, 29th Regt 7, instructs this unit to report the number of mortar rounds accompanying two mortars going to K9 9th Bn, 29th Regt 7 and the amount of mortar ammo on hand of D 7th Bn 7. In addition, Trans Co of E would transport rice for D on 8 May /67/ in sufficient quantity for consumption until 18 May /67/. Rice would be sent the next time to the vicinity of Bai 06, and D should dispatch transportation elements to that area, to receive rice in the evening and return at night. Khan, Co, Trans Co, was instructed to come to discuss the rendezvous point for rice delivery; and C2 [2d Co] should leave the rice behind when C2 moves out. It was pointed out that K9 was committed to operations and D 7th Bn7 was required to pick up rice as directed.
