Diary, with entries made by Nguyen Duc Nhi of a Recon Elm of an U/I Bn, from 16 Apr 65 to 7 Mar 67, reveals the following: Subject was native of Ten An Vil, Yén Dung Dist, H Bc Prov/NVN/. Before infiltrating SVN, subject's Unit was trained in Artillery for three months in Ha Dong Prov. Afterwards, on 25 Jul 65 they went by train from Thdong Tin Dist of Ha Deng Prov to Thanh Hoa Prov, then continued on foot, crossed Bon Hai River on 25 Aug 65, walked through three Laotian Provinces, including Xa Kha and Me Khet Prov's, crossed BE-OPON River and reached SVN border on 20 Sep 65. After crossing a 2,400m high mountain, they arrived at Kontum Prov. MR V7 cadre came to meet them when they arrived in Quang Nam Prov on 30 Sep 65. On 28 Oct 65, subject was sent with seven others for mission to An Lão Dist, Binh Dinh Prov on 1 Nov 65, they were assigned to Nong Truong Sao aka NT 3 NVA Div 7. Subject's Unit stationed in Phú Mỹ and Phú Cát Dist's, Binh Dinh Prov, during Jun and Jul 66. At the end of Sep 66, one member of this Unit deserted.
