Document reveals that 29 members of C1, C3 poss 1st and 3d Co, subordination unk 7 and civil guards equipped with six BO, three MG, one M79 were positioned at "Line 1", one Plat of C3 poss 3d Co 7 at the left of the formation and ten other members of C3 at the right of the formation. The Command Post was located 150 meters from an unk school. The battle started at 0715 hrs with a burst of fire delivered by FWMAF/RVNAF units on Vasivasa Factory and ended at 1745 hrs. FWMAF/RVNAF units with the support of tanks conducted five attacks in the C3 area. In addition, they also conducted heavy bombings and shellings on VC formations. They successfully dropped one incendiary and one fragmentary bomb on a VC Command Post. C3 destroyed two tanks, damaged one tank, downed one aircraft and annihilated 18 US soldiers while C1 annihilated 13 FWMAF/RVNAF soldiers and a Plat from C1 shot down two aircraft, annihilated 12 US and RVNAF soldiers and damaged one tank. C1 sustained five IA, three KIA, one MIA, two B40s, two AK assault rifles and one MG lost while C3 suffered one KIA, two MIA and two AK assault rifles lost.
