Self-critique statement, undated, prepared by Nguyễn Ngọc Thanh, reveals that during a 12-day political reorientation session, Thanh acknowledged his failures (1) to motivate the populace and to conduct three-pronged attacks to frustrate the enemy's ((FWMAF/RVNAF)) pacification plan; (2) to destroy the enemy's oppressive control over the people and to win over local, inhabitants; and (3) to strengthen internal solidarity. Thanh was born in 1927 in Nhón Lộc Village, An Nhơn District, Binh Dinh Province. He was admitted to the Party on 3 Jul 50, and became an official Party member on 3 Feb 51.
