Message 21, dated 18 May ((71)), from Ngoc ((possibly of the HQ, VC Military Region 5)), addressed to E21 ((possibly aka the 21st Main Force Regt)), acknowledges receipt of Message 1, dated 4 ((month and year unstated)) from Cao, and states that the activity plan of the 6th Bn ((possibly of the 21st Main Force Regt)) and the selection of an objective to be raided by the 10th Co ((possibly of the 6th Bn, 21st Main Force Regt)) was approved. The document also contains the following recommendations: ((1)) Necessary preparations for the raid should be made by C10 ((aka the 10th Co, 6th Bn, 21st Main Force Regt)); ((2)) increase antiaircraft operations against enemy ((FWMAF/RVNAF)) aircraft in rear areas; and ((3)) from three to five enemy tanks and a Popular Force inter-platoon or company should be destroyed by D6(-) using the antitank element of the battalion. After the attack, D6(-) should be broken down into small elements to destroy ((RVN)) Regional Force platoons. Depending on the situation ((RVNAF)) Thực Lâm or Tỉnh Phú positions will be the objective of an attack to be conducted by D6 on the night of D+1 Day to support the liberation of Hanh Tinh and Hanh Thiên ((Villages)). In Phase 3 of Campaign D81, the area of mobile operation of D6 was from Truc Lam to Tinh Phu' ((areas)).
